The foam, developed by SaS-Tec, is called SC-1 (Safety Comfort) and represents:

Security: it can absorb 50% more impact energy than hard-shell in lab testing, SC-1 provides the highest levels of damping and impact protection on the market.

Comfort: it adapts (reacting to body heat) ergonomically to the body and is 60% lighter than traditional hard-shell protectors.

Quality: The SC-1 material absorbs the majority of energy on impact. With its memory effect, the foam returns back to its original shape after an impact. Compared to hard-shell, SaS-Tec foam is "double-shock-resistant". Hard-shell can break upon impact, resulting in an increased risk of injury.
